One of the biggest indicators of bridal fashion is celebrity weddings—celebrities start new trends and set the tone for sometimes decades of bridal fashion (just look at your mother and all of her friends’ huge, puffy Princess Diana sleeves!). Naturally, we always have some celebrity wedding dresses we love more than others, and each time we see a dress we love we get so excited to see the new trends it will bring about. Here are some of our most recent favorites:
Gwen Stefani
This past July, Gwen Stefani tied the knot with her Voice costar, Blake Shelton, in a gorgeous ceremony on Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch. Her wedding day look perfectly combined her rock-n-roll past with the chic, western look of a ranch wedding. We’re obsessed with the bold, fun texture of her huge ball gown wedding dress, especially paired with her voluminous wedding veil for the perfect fluffy-yet-edgy bridal look. Not to mention her stiletto cowboy boots, peeking out through the skirt’s sheer layers and adding an out-of-the-box touch perfect for one of rock’s most iconic female lead singers.
Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande surprised everyone this May when she married fiancé Dalton Gomez in a secret ceremony at her home in Montecito. While Ari’s usually known for striking, over-the-top fashion moments, her gorgeous minimalist wedding dress was absolutely breathtaking, and we can’t wait to see the wave of simple wedding dresses that will come out of her gorgeous dress. The chic silk and classic column silhouette paired with the gorgeous open back create a striking dress, bold in it’s chic simplicity.
Hailey Bieber
While Hailey wore three different dresses for her wedding to pop star Justin Bieber in 2019, the dress she chose for the ceremony is our favorite. Intricate, sexy, and absolutely stunning, we’re in love with this gown. The off-the-shoulder neckline and sheer, floral detailed fabric create a stunning romantic look. The sheer details, open back, figure flattering silhouette, and illusion sleeves give the dress a sultry look perfect for an edgy bride like Hailey.
Lady Kitty Spencer
In July, Princess Diana’s niece, Kitty Spencer, said “I do” in a gorgeous Italian ceremony, wearing one-of-a-kind dresses from Dolce & Gabana. Kitty’s regal, Victorian-inspired all-over lace bridal gown was the perfect fit for a fashion-forward royal. The high neckline and long sleeves with their bold shoulders make this ball gown stand out. Covered buttons running down the front complete the Victorian-inspired look. Between Lady Kitty Spencer’s gown and the popularity of Bridgerton, it looks like these classic, princess-like wedding dresses will be making a big statement in bridal fashion.
