We wanted to kick things off with a list of ways we know you will appreciate to have a stress free wedding day! You've got engaged, check. Snapped, Facebooked, Instagrammed your shiny new rock, check. Now you're creating your dream wedding on Pinterest and seeing all the pins talking about checklists and must haves and "don't forget this important thing". All of a sudden you've spent 3 hours on Pinterest and went from super excited to super anxious ?.  Don't worry, we got you. We put together a little list of things that will take your worries away and go back to pinning cute bridesmaid dresses, bouquets and photo must haves.

1.Get your marriage licence as soon as possible

tip1-marriagelicence I know it sounds like a no brainer, but the sooner you get it the better. Depending where you live you may have a waiting period when you apply for your licence. For those of us in Washington State, marriage licenses become valid for use on the third day following application and are then valid for 60 days. so making sure you get this in early means that you wont be stressing out just before your day. Here is a link for those in Washington: marriage licence

2. Delegate!

tip2-delegate So this one is one that sparks a lot of debate. We think its crucial to delegate things that go on during wedding day to a Maid of honor or a family member so that you can stay stress free. On the day give your delegated person you phone so that all the little bumps in the road ( and there will be bumps) go to them to handle so you arn't sweating you makeup off before you even hit the dance floor. Trust us on this one, from experience with super stressed brides involving "missing" items or things not being delivered on time....best to let someone else handle it.

3. Dancing shoes!

tip3-dancingshoes You may not be thinking it now, but you will be tearing up the dance floor on your night and blisters are not a cute accessory. Your heels will look a-mazing in photos and will give you that sexy feel, but when you go to show off those moves they wont be as awesome, so alternatives for the reception is always a good choice. Some cute ballet flats or some cute low heel shoes (that you have already broken in) will be the best option to make sure you can bust out those moves and your feet will love you for it! Here are some super cute options we found, don't worry we got you sparkle fiends covered; Cinderollies Foldable Ballet FlatsCrystal Embellished Ballet FlatBetsy Johnson Adele Flat

4. Pack your over night bag in advance

tips4-overnight bag Most of us have been on a trip or two before so we all know that we plan to pack in advance and the next thing you know its 3 hours before you have to leave and you just decided to find you luggage, chances are you end up not packing enough underwear *cough*. Whether you and your future husband are going to be jet setting off on your honeymoon the next day or you are just spending a night at your hotel, packing your bags a couple of days ahead will mean you dont have to rush the day before or day of.

5. Make a list and get it done as early as you can

7_tips5 check out this super cute and amazingly handy notebook/ planner full of tips for your planning your wedding from PearlandMason The earlier you get things sorted, the less panic you will experience as the big day creeps closer. Who doesn't love lists and ticking things off them? That sense of accomplishment will mean that you get t0 sit back and relax as your big day approaches and get all the pampering in. We love using Wunderlist for all our list making, you can make different lists, add people to them and when you complete a task it dings at you that is oh so satisfying.

6. You cant control everything

tip6-relax At the end of the day, not everything will go to plan. All the lists in the world wont make the shipping company for your invites go faster, or make the ribbons your ordered in blue and not the purple you received, or make your aunt Shelly take a chill pill for sitting at the "wrong table" ?. Take a deep breath and relax, things will be OK. Going back to point 4. getting all of these things sorted well in advance means that when hiccups happen, you have time to sort them out in a calm fashion and not running around like a crazy person who smashed the panic button a few too many times.

7. Have fun! Its your big day!

tip7-havefun Photo by GRACENOTE PHOTOGRAPHY We left the most important for last! Have fun! yes i know it sounds so cliche, but it really is something you have to remember. At the end of the day its about you and your partner and no one else. This is just the beginning of an amazing life together, so don't sweat it! Have fun, laugh, make memories and at the end of the day you will look back and laugh at all the little things that went wrong. Hope this little checklist helps ease the anxiety for your big day and CONGRATULATIONS from everyone at Samilas Boutique! ??? What other tips would you guys give for a bride to be?
