Trend Report from 2023 Bridal Styles

As we enter the Fall 2023 bridal fashion season, we're eager to see what designers have in store for their latest collections. However, if this past year is any indicator as to what we can expect, then we're all in for yet another gorgeous season. From veils to sleeves and the return of corsetry, we’ve seen contemporary brides embrace new styles and silhouettes over the course of the last few months. There’s really something for every bride! Today we’re sharing a few of our favorites to expect for 2023:

Corsetry

The corset bodice has returned and is better than ever. A wedding gown's traditional silhouette can still be accentuated with this structural element, while still paying homage to brides' figures. It’s equal parts classic and romantic, which brides will fall in love with!

Classic Lace

Many brides associate lace with bridal gowns because of its delicate and feminine appearance. We're seeing lace bridal gowns with intricate details for the next season, and they're stunning! While some feel lace dresses are too stuffy and formal for a modern wedding, others are drawn to their intricate details, such as chantilly, guipure, broderie anglaise, and Alencon lace. Furthermore, there is no one size fits all when it comes to lace wedding dresses. There are gowns that feature all-over lace designs and others that feature lace accents or trimmings!

Organza Ruffles

A ruffled wedding dress is whimsical, romantic, and so quintessentially bridal. No matter what type of wedding dress you choose, ruffles add texture and dimension to any silhouette. They can be as dramatic as gowns with layers of cascading tulle or as subtle as midi dresses with flouncy hems. Choosing a ruffled wedding dress that has the right amount of drama is key to finding the right one for you. A bride with bold tastes will love the look of voluminous and frothy ruffles in a ball gown, whereas a bride with a more minimalist aesthetic will love a simple silhouette with subtle frills. For the modern bride? Make your look fresh and fashion-forward by opting for sleek silhouettes and architectural ruffles.

3D Laces

Floral wedding lace with a modern twist always makes a statement. A fun 3D lace is equal parts romantic and bold, featuring tiny, delicate petals as well as giant, bold blooms! This trend adds volume and texture to your wedding dress that will make you stand out and feel like a princess.

Untraditional Wedding Dresses

So many brides are choosing less traditional looks for their wedding day! The great thing about a non-traditional style is that it’s versatile and usually a lot easier to move around in than a traditional wedding gown, depending on what you’re going for. We’re loving shorter styles that show off your legs (and killer heels, of course) for non-traditional brides! And you’re not limited to a short dress, either. You can go for a sleek jumpsuit or even suit separates for your wedding day - there are no rules!
